From September 6th to 12th, the Advanced Buddhist Academy of the Chinese Tibetan Language Department welcomes the 2021 advanced degree class students.
It is understood that there are 27 new students enrolled in this period, from Gelugpa, Kagyu and Jonangpa of Tibetan Buddhism.
After three years of hard study, they will be able to obtain the advanced academic title of "Toramba" in Tibetan Buddhism through strict course assessment, qualification review, scripture examination and thesis defense.
The opening ceremony coincides with Teacher's Day, and the trainees present the Hada to the teachers and teacher representatives who attended the ceremony.
Up to now, the Advanced Buddhist Academy of the Chinese Tibetan Language Department has trained 273 "Toramba" senior scholars, covering more than 140 monasteries of various sects of Tibetan Buddhism.
After they returned to places and temples, they served as scripture teachers, or engaged in research work, temple management, etc., and they were generally affirmed by temples and believers.
