An American wins a million dollars in the lottery on the same day he opens a car repair shop

An American citizen won a million dollars in the lottery on the same day that he and his wife opened an auto repair shop.

Florida resident Brian Woodell, 46, bought a $5 lottery ticket from a store in Callahan.

"I love working on vehicles and it's always been a dream to own my own repair shop," Woodell said in a press release sent by the Florida Lottery Authority. "At the end of our first day, I stopped by Circle Key to get some stuff and got a lottery ticket. And that's how we won a million dollars!"

The Lottery Authority said he chose to receive a lump sum payment of $880,000.

Circle Key will receive an additional $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket, according to the Associated Press.
