His family is "proud of him".

Zakaria Zubeidi, figure of the armed struggle during the second Intifada, but also close, for a time, to the peace camp, is one of the six prisoners who succeeded, Monday, September 6, in escaping from the high security prison of Gilboa, in northern Israel.

"When we found out, we felt great joy but also great fear," testifies his brother, Yahya Zubeidi, whom France 24 met in the Jenin refugee camp, in the West Bank, where the fugitives come from.

According to him, the run could last a long time, especially since the Israeli police have no serious leads for the moment.
