According to an interview with an investigative official, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters has decided on the 10th to dismiss a male assistant police officer in his 40s from disciplinary action for leaking investigation information to a gangster.

Police are proceeding with an investigation on suspicion of violating the Local Civil Service Law, suspecting that the inspector had repeatedly leaked information.

According to the investigators, the disciplinary dismissal is for a male assistant police officer in his 40s who belongs to the Investigation Division 2 of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters.

Last year, the assistant inspector leaked investigation information, such as telling the gangsters the date when the police would start the search as a party to the case being investigated by the police.

The assistant inspector used to belong to the gangster countermeasures section, and the police were investigating because the information that "the assistant inspector is receiving money from the gangster side" was received from the outside.

It is said that the donation of money was not confirmed, but police are proceeding with the investigation on suspicion of violating the Local Civil Service Law, suspecting that the assistant inspector had repeatedly leaked the investigation information.
