Subsequently, Nantong Zhongnan New World Center Development Co., Ltd. issued a notice to the public, stating that at 5 pm on the 7th, the embankment on the north side of Chong'an Road collapsed, and there were no casualties.
To ensure safety, the tap water supply in this area has been cut off in time, and a safety cordon has been set up in the collapsed area.
It can be seen on the scene that the collapsed area is located at the southeast corner of the Nantong Zhongnan Center Building, which is less than 50 meters away from the building and has an area of nearly 100 square meters. It has been backfilled with construction materials and covered with green carpet.
Three cordon lines were set up 500 meters away from the collapsed area, guarded by relevant personnel of Nantong Zhongnan New World Center Development Co., Ltd., and outsiders were prohibited from entering.
Prospectors also need to present a pass issued by the relevant unit to enter.
The investigators said that the specific cause of the collapse is still under investigation, and whether it will have an impact on nearby buildings and the environment is yet to be determined.
Nantong Zhongnan Center is located in the core area of Nantong Central Business District, with a total construction area of 78,000 square meters, of which the above-ground construction area is 53,000 square meters, and the total number of floors is 30. The office building is currently on sale.
