Unraveling the mystery of a gruesome crime in Russia

 Russian security authorities have arrested a suspect in the murders of two 10-year-old schoolgirls who had disappeared after leaving school the day before.

According to the Russian Investigative Committee, the suspect in the killing of the two schoolgirls is a 41-year-old man with a history.

The two girls were found dead in an abandoned house in the city of Kislevsk.

A video clip circulating on social media showed an unknown man buying sweets for children in a store.

The TASS news agency quoted a source in the security services as saying that a criminal case was opened under Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code, which provides for "murder."

In this regard, investigations were also conducted of persons who had previously been convicted of crimes of a sexual nature.

 The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, placed the investigation into this case under his personal control.
