Kumamoto Prefecture and Kumamoto City announced on the 7th that 117 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
This brings the total number of infected people in the prefecture to 13,433.
The prefecture also announced that one woman in her 80s in Kashima and one man in her 80s in Misato have died.
With this, 130 people have died in the prefecture.
