Exceptional help from Paca after the terrible fire in the Var

The Paca region will release exceptional aid in the face of the extent of the damage caused by the Gonfaron fire on August 16 in the Maures massif, reports

"For the first time, the region will finance all emergency work for the municipalities, the mixed union of the Maures massif, and forest owners", announces the vice-president of the region, François de Canson.

A fund of 5 million euros for firefighters

Thanks to the Respir regional fund, an envelope of one million euros is made available to the municipalities of the Massif des Maures.

The most affected municipalities in the Var will be able to benefit from additional aid of 20,000 euros.

The elected regional also announced that a fund of 5 million euros will be released for firefighters, which will allow "all Sdis (departmental fire and rescue service) to buy trucks, vans, pumps, cameras, probes.
