Presenting a valid health pass at the entrance to shopping centers in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques will no longer be compulsory from this Wednesday, reports

La République des Pyrénées

.

A decision supported Monday morning by the announcement of the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire on BFM TV and RMC.

In fact, this is already the case.

The prefectural decree which extended this obligation until September 5 was suspended Friday by the administrative court of Pau following an appeal filed by the Carrefour sign.

More than 64 centers concerned in France

A decision taken in view of "the drop in the incidence rate observed throughout the territory", underlines Bruno Le Maire.

The department is below the limit of 200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with 109.6 on September 2.

Good news for the five sites in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques concerned: Quartier Libre and Leclerc in Pau, Carrefour in Lescar, as well as BAB2 and Ametzondo in the Basque Country.

An announcement that also concerns other departments since from Wednesday, out of the 178 French shopping centers, only 64 will still be required to have a health pass.
