Recently, affected by heavy rainfall, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River Minjiang River, Tuojiang River, Jialing River and the Three Gorges section have increased water inflows.

On September 6, the "Yangtze River No. 1 Flood of 2021" reached the Three Gorges Reservoir, with a maximum inflow of 55,000 cubic meters per second, and the peak cut rate of the Three Gorges Reservoir was about 50%.

At 14:00 on September 7, the inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir was 54,000 cubic meters per second. After the flood was intercepted by the Three Gorges Reservoir, the flood discharged at a flow of 3,1300 cubic meters per second, passing the Yichang River section smoothly.

As of 19:00 of the same day, the flow of Yichang Station reached 31,600 cubic meters per second, and the water level was 48.53 meters, which was lower than the warning water level (53 meters).

In response to the "Yangtze River No. 1 Flood in 2021", the safety of the Three Gorges Project and the Three Gorges Reservoir were not affected.
