The Australian Emergency Services rescued a three-year-old boy three days after he was absent from his family's home.

In video footage released by New South Wales Police, child Anthony (AJ) Elvalak is shown desperately trying to drink by scooping water from a stream in a forest in Butte, 150 kilometers northwest of Sydney, just before he was rescued.

The child was taken to a hospital and was said to have abrasions from the fall, as well as a diaper rash.

It was not clear why the child wandered away from his family's home last Friday.
