  The members of the EAC inspected the simulated polling station at Tap Seac Stadium on the same day to check the polling station settings and related anti-epidemic arrangements.

The chairman of the EAC, Tang Xiaofeng, told reporters that during the inspection, there were still some improvements in the epidemic prevention facilities, and the staff had been instructed to improve them.

  According to the Macao Meteorological Bureau, the tropical depression in the waters east of the Philippines has intensified into a tropical storm, which may affect Macao.

Tang Xiaofeng said that he will continue to monitor the trend of tropical storms. If typhoon signal No. 8 is hoisted on election day, polling stations cannot be opened for operation. According to the Legislative Council election law, voting can be conducted on the Sunday or public holiday following the election day, or administrative The chief decided that voting will be postponed to 30 days after the election day at the latest.

  As for election complaints, Tang Xiaofeng revealed that since the start of the campaign promotion period on August 28, the EAC has received a total of 17 complaints. After analysis, 9 of them initially involved violations and have been forwarded to relevant government departments for further investigation.

Another case is suspected of offering money to bribe elections and has been forwarded to the Independent Commission Against Corruption for follow-up.

  In addition, in order to optimize the waiting time for voters to vote, shorten the waiting time for voters, and do a good job in epidemic prevention, the official website of the EAC will continue to update the real-time number of people waiting at each polling station from 8 am on the election day.
