This weekend, several items belonging to Elvis Presley were auctioned off, including a jar filled with real hair from the rock king, writes the Huffington Post.

The animal grips must have been collected after haircuts that the fair-haired star received from his private hairdresser Homer Gilleland over the years.

The tufts are said to constitute "the world's largest and most well-documented collection of Elvis hair".

"This is not a typical lock of hair but a massive, baseball-sized specimen," the auction house wrote in a press release.

Most money, however, pulled in one of Elvis' iconic stage overalls - equivalent to almost ten million kroner.
