Shizuoka Prefecture and others announced on the 5th that it was confirmed that 221 people were infected with the new coronavirus.
The cumulative number of confirmed infections in the prefecture is now 24,358.
Shizuoka Prefecture also announced the death of one patient.
The number of people who died in the prefecture is 185.
