Just over 600 illegal aliens suspected of radicalization have been expelled since 2018, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday.
"Six hundred foreign people known for radicalization have been expelled", declared Marlène Schiappa, Minister for Citizenship, guest of the program Le Grand Rendez-Vous (Cnews, Europe 1, Les Echos).
When questioned, the Ministry of the Interior specified that, since 2018, 636 people in an irregular situation, who appeared in the file of alerts for the prevention of terrorist radicalization (FSPRT), were no longer on the national territory, the large majority having been expelled.

Marlène Schiappa was questioned on the comments of Valérie Pécresse in the JDD demanding to “reactivate (the) policy of absolute emergency expulsion for threat of disturbing public order” carried out in the 1980s. In November 2020, Gérald Darmanin declared that in total, “more than 450” foreigners in an irregular situation, registered with the FSPRT had been expelled from France since the start of the five-year term.
