Your mobile phone carries 18 times more microbes than a toilet seat!

Russian infectious disease doctor, Natalia Uchinskaya, warned that a large number of dangerous microbes may live on the surface of smartphones, which could expose you to countless diseases.

Uchinskaya quoted the results of scientific research conducted by the British University of Surrey, which showed that smartphones are a real breeding ground for dangerous bacteria, according to Russian media.

She said: "During their research, scientists tested 30 smartphones for ordinary people. It turned out that in some cases the number of bacteria on the body of the smartphone may be 18 times more than the edge of the toilet."

She pointed out that the bacteria can cause a number of serious diseases, such as infections of the skin and intestines, pneumonia and meningitis.

The Russian doctor stressed that for this reason the surface of the smartphone must be cleaned periodically.

She added, according to "Al Arabiya.net", that antibacterial wipes, antimicrobial hand products, alcohol or special disinfectants for devices are suitable for these purposes.

She pointed out the need to disconnect the phone from the mains before wiping it.

She also stressed the importance of not allowing cleaning materials to enter the heart of the phone from the inside so as not to damage it.
