Seven people in a group based in Tokyo were arrested and prosecuted for trafficking stimulants through SNS, and the Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has previously obtained drugs obtained by seven people who were customers who purchased illegal drugs on SNS. I'm investigating that I've started to repeat smuggling by reselling.

Seven men and women in their 20s and 60s, including the unemployed Katsuya Funakoshi (36), who is based in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, were arrested and charged with smuggling stimulants.

According to the Drug Control Department, Funakoshi and his colleagues called for the purchase of illegal drugs on Twitter under the name "Tokyo Uchiya," and used an app that erased the message after a certain period of time to interact with customers.

All seven were former customers who bought illegal drugs, but now they are reselling drugs obtained through SNS, and they are getting about 55 million yen a year by smuggling to at least 160 people nationwide. It is supposed to be.

Defendant Funakoshi said in response to an investigation by the Drug Control Department, "I started smuggling to make money quickly. I thought I could catch customers online soon."

According to investigators, the spread of SNS has led to a series of cases in which customers who purchase illegal drugs start smuggling through SNS, and the Drug Control Department is strengthening its system to monitor online exchanges.

Smuggling Techniques Guided to Blogs Show prices using jargon

The investigation revealed the method of smuggling of the group that was caught.

According to the Drug Control Department, the group created an account named "Touchiya" on Twitter.

We will send out information that hints at the trafficking of illegal drugs, and guide approaching customers to blog pages that are less visible to the investigative authorities than Twitter.

The blog posted an image called "menu" and used the jargon to indicate illegal drugs to indicate the price.

According to investigators, "freezing" is a stimulant, "0831" is cannabis, and "sugar cube" is LSD.

Photos of stimulants and cannabis are also posted. But it was advertised as "high purity that can be understood".

The communication with the customer was done using an app that disappears the message after a certain period of time, and the price was transferred to an account in the name of another person.

The stimulants were delivered by meeting around Ryogoku Station in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, which is close to the condominium where the group was based, or by mailing them nationwide.
