The Director of Ports and Border Points Affairs, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Border Points and Ports in the Emirate of Sharjah, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi, expressed the UAE's welcome to the Omani brothers in their second country, wishing the arrivals happy and safe times throughout the Emirates.
He added that the Khatam border crossing in the city of Kalba witnessed, from the first moments of the implementation of the decision to open, a large influx and active movement of Omanis, which confirms the deep and rooted ties between the UAE and Oman.
Al-Raisi stressed the full care and full readiness to facilitate the smooth flow of commercial traffic and the transit of travelers, as well as the application of all health protocols approved in the country to ensure safe passage for all travelers, in joint coordination and fruitful cooperation between the operational authorities operating at the ports.
He pointed out that the passport is used as an official document for movement between the land ports of the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, and arrivals must download the Al-Hosn application and conduct a PCR examination whose validity does not exceed 48 hours, and conduct an examination on the fourth day of entering the country, in the case of residence for four consecutive days or more, And an examination on the eighth day of entry in the event of staying for eight consecutive days or more.
Omani visitors flocked to the land ports in Sharjah after a period of closing the ports, expressing their happiness with the long-awaited opening decision.
They praised the ease of the procedures followed, the ease of moving through the land ports, and the speed of completion by the staff of the centers, considering that the UAE is their second country.
