On September 2, the Red Cross Society of China announced the winners of the 48th Nightingale Prize.
After the International Committee of the Red Cross assesses the candidates recommended by various countries, a total of 25 nurses from 18 countries have won the Nightingale Award. Among them, 3 outstanding nursing workers in China have won the Nightingale Award. The number of winners is the most and the only country with 3 winners. All 3 winners participated in the anti-epidemic work in Wuhan, Hubei last year.
At the meeting, the three winners respectively told their stories about practicing in medicine.
Cheng Shouzhen invited Ying to help Hubei three times, and Wuhan returned to fight the epidemic overseas; Hu Minhua persisted in fighting AIDS for 20 years, and he had no hesitation in the outbreak of the epidemic and went to Wuhan. The risk of being infected successfully resolves the danger for the patient.
