The Icelandic series "Blackport" won the Grand Prix of the "Siri Mania" festival, which concluded the day before yesterday, in the city of Lille in northern France, by the decision of the international jury.


The political and social series, based on real events, deals with the series of disturbances experienced by a small village whose residents work in the field of fishing, after the establishment of a quota system in this sector during the eighties of the last century. The series consists of eight episodes of 50 minutes each.


The Best Actress award was awarded to Mary Ruther, who played the main character in the Danish series "Kamikaze", produced by the American platform "HBO Max".


As for the best actor award, it was shared by the heroes of the Israeli series “The Echo of Your Voice,” which chronicles the career of three generations of musicians.


The Croatian series "The Last Social Artifact" was crowned with the "Best Series" award by the jury in the International Panorama category, headed by journalist and writer Florence Obina.


The committee that rewards emerging talents awarded its own prize to the Colombian series "Viva de Colores".


The Student Panorama Committee awarded an award to the comedy series We R Lady Parts, which centers on a Muslim feminist group.


In the French competition, the comedy series “John A Jewelery”, directed by Fanny Sidney, won the award for best series, by a jury composed of international journalists, and Ariane Labbad for the best actress award for the role of a ballerina in the series “Lobra”, and Daniel Ngo. Loubet won the Best Actor award for “Le Code” (France 2), and Pierre Leroux won the Best Original Score award for “John A Jewelery.”


And the audience of the French city of Lille awarded a prize for the series "Germinal", a French-Italian production adapted from the writer Emile Zola's novel of the same name, filmed in a former mine in northern France.


The work consists of eight episodes, each of 50 minutes.
