A Kuwaiti committed suicide his sister with a knife before the police arrived to save her from his "imprisonment"

The Kuwaiti Jahra governorate witnessed a horrific murder, in which a woman was beheaded by her brother, the day before yesterday, according to Kuwaiti newspapers and news websites.

The dead woman had informed the Ministry of Interior that she had been held for two months in her home, which prompted the perpetrator to hurry to slit her throat, using a knife, before the police arrived.

The sources added that the perpetrator, who was born in 1985, tried to stab the policemen with the same crime instrument, trying to escape, but they managed to control him without causing any injuries.

The incident prompted many users of social networking sites to write about the reality of women, and they called for the need to provide them with protection against violent crimes, especially domestic violence.

Among them, writer Dala' Al-Mufti said, "Three women were killed in Kuwait within ten days. Three lives were lost just because they were women. Three women were killed, not by a stranger, a thief, or an aggressor, but by relatives they loved and trusted."

The writer was referring to 3 killings of women within families in about 10 days since August 23, including the latest incident that occurred at dawn on Thursday, according to press reports.
