Today (September 3), the "Spirit of the Times Brilliant Xiangjiang River" event hosted by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Office of Manned Space Engineering of China was successful in Beijing and Hong Kong. During the event, the Shenzhou 12 crew had a unique world-to-earth interaction with nearly 300 Hong Kong science and technology workers, teachers, and college and high school students.

Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Tan Tieniu, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Zhou Jianping, Chief Designer of China Manned Space Engineering, Hao Chun, Director of China Manned Space Engineering Office, Deputy Chief Designer of China Manned Space Engineering , China's first flight astronaut Yang Liwei, China Astronaut Research and Training Center, Chief Designer of Astronaut System Huang Weifen, China Academy of Space Technology, and Space Station System Chief Designer Yang Hong attended the event in Hong Kong and Beijing respectively.

At the event site, Academician Zhou Jianping gave an in-depth introduction to the development history of my country's manned space project and the construction of the space station, and answered the concerns of Hong Kong citizens previously collected online.

Representatives of young students from Hong Kong asked leading experts at the Beijing venue and three astronauts from the "Space Travel Trio"-Shenzhou 12 astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo on-site.

Leading experts at the Beijing venue answered questions that are of common concern to the general public, such as the development of China's manned space industry and the prospects for the construction of my country's space station.

At the same time, the Shenzhou 12 astronaut crew connected with everyone remotely and acted as a "space station guide", leading everyone to visit the space station’s sky and the interior of the core module, and how to conduct experiments in a weightless environment. Questions such as how to exercise and how to drink water were answered and demonstrated.

Taking the opening season as an opportunity, this event fully drew on the successful experience of space teaching on the Shenzhou 10 spacecraft, realized real-time exchanges and interactions between Hong Kong science and technology workers, young students, guests from Beijing, and astronauts in orbit, and responded positively to Hong Kong compatriots. The deep concern for the motherland's aerospace industry has effectively promoted the harmonious development of Hong Kong and the Mainland, guided Hong Kong youth to further enter and understand space, and stimulated their scientific enthusiasm for exploring the unknown and daring to innovate, as well as a strong national and ethnic identity.

In the future, the China Manned Space Engineering Office will continue to organize similar world-earth interactive activities, actively disseminate manned space knowledge and culture, and continue to carry out various forms of aerospace science education with rich content.
