At 8:10 on September 2, an explosion occurred in a workshop of the Jiangyang Chemical Plant in Taiyuan, Shanxi. Villagers' houses in Yuwen Village, about 1 km away from the explosion site, were damaged to varying degrees.
The reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Jiancaoping District Committee of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province that at 8:10 that day, an explosion occurred in a workshop of the Jiangyang Chemical Plant. After preliminary investigation, some employees were slightly injured by the shock wave and no one died.
Currently, the cause of the explosion is under investigation.
