This year's autumn salmon set net fishing was lifted on August 30 on the Pacific coast in eastern Hokkaido and the Sea of ​​Japan coast in northern Hokkaido. I did.

At the Taiki fishing port in Taiki-cho, five ships returned to the port one after another after noon, and silver-shining autumn salmon were landed.



The landing on the first day of this year was 3.6 tons, which is about half of last year, and the price was 530 yen for males and 1070 yen for females per kilogram, which was slightly higher than last year.



Although it has been a record-breaking salmon for the past few years, according to the Prefectural Research Organization, the number of visitors to this year is expected to be the lowest since Heisei.



A fisherman said, "As expected, the landing on the first day was small, but since it has just begun, I would like to expect it in the future."



Set net fishing for autumn salmon along the Tokachi coast will continue until November 20th.
