Investigations indicated that the young woman lived her life under continuous family violence, which ended with her death a few days ago, as she was forced to marry at the age of 13, and she was working in a pastry shop, and after her divorce from the first husband she was forced to marry a second time from an unbalanced person who used to He beat her, and the third time her uncle forced her to marry his son after divorcing her.
Some members of Nourzan Al-Shammari's family confirmed that Hasna of Baghdad was subjected to several threats by her uncle, as she was refusing to marry his son.
One of Nourzan Al-Shammari's cousins said in a video clip that Nourzan sent him details of her uncle's threat to her, asking the concerned authorities to use this testimony during the investigations.
The Director of the Department of Relations and Information in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, Major General Saad Maan, announced that the Directorate of Combating Crimes in Baghdad was able to arrest the killer of Nurzan, who is her brother.
Major General Maan added that the accused was the one who stabbed her and the main cause of her death, in cooperation with two of her cousins. The search is still underway for them after the security forces reached their identities, noting that the perpetrator confessed to his crime and killed his sister, and the necessary legal measures were taken against him.
