Twelve snakes picked up by firefighters in an apartment

The operation, unusual, mobilized a special team.

This Tuesday morning around 10 am, three firefighters intervened in an apartment in Saint-Malo-de-Guersac (Loire-Atlantique) at the request of the gendarmerie.

Inside, they took care of no less than twelve snakes, crammed into the vivarium of a private individual.

"These are new companion animals (NAC), sometimes protected species," say the firefighters.

In detail, eight boas, three pythons and a king snake were seized by the animal team.

They were to be entrusted to the Nantes Natural History Museum in the afternoon.

The

newspaper 

 specifies that the owner of the snakes, who occupied the apartment, was being evicted.

It is also the judicial officer, who had come to the scene this morning, who would have given the alert.
