In the Philippines, schools have been closed since March 2020. It is one of the longest interruptions in the world.

Without any form of education offered for seven consecutive months.

Today, online schooling is reserved for the wealthiest families and large cities, completely abandoning rural areas.

The deterioration in the education of young Filipinos is such that a third of children under 10 cannot read.
