Will Didier Raoult remain director of the IHU?

The board of directors of the foundation which steers the famous Marseille center, on the front line since the coronavirus epidemic, will meet on September 17, learned

from the AP-HM.

On this occasion, as revealed by

a few weeks ago, the new director general of the Assistance publique-Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM), François Crémieux, and the president of Aix-Marseille University (AMU ), Eric Berton, will propose to launch a call for tenders to find a successor to the 69-year-old microbiologist.

The AP-HM has indeed expressed its desire to "turn the page" Raoult.

However, it remains to be seen whether the other members of the board of directors will follow this proposal.

This August 31 also marks the date of Didier Raoult's retirement from university.
