TF1 unveiled at a press conference the novelties of its comeback for the 2021-2022 season.

On the program, very numerous fictions and ambition which goes up a notch, but also the celebration of the 10 and 20 years of several of the great shows of the channel which marked television.

22. This is the impressive number of dramas that TF1 will launch during the 2021-2022 season.

The channel presented Monday its ambition towards more quality for this type of programs at a press conference.

The direction of TF1 promises a return with "a very strong ambition" and a "very rich offer".

This is illustrated by the announcement of 22 novelties in French fiction.

These series and films will address strong social themes: gender dysphoria, disability, end of life, adolescent prostitution, etc.

"The only thing that matters is having the best proposal"

They will enjoy prestigious castings: Emmanuelle Béart, Franck Dubosc, Audrey Fleurot, Muriel Robin, Vincent Elbaz and Louane, in particular. This reflects the move upmarket desired by TF1 for its fictions. "We want to offer a more premium fiction offer, so to offer innovative social subjects, things that are a little unexpected on TF1, to bring in talents that we are used to seeing in the cinema ", explains Xavier Gandon, director of the TF1 group's branches.

"In this world where the public can watch content on streaming platforms or on television, the only thing that matters is to have the best proposal," he analyzes.

"If we offer the best series, and this is our ambition, we think that viewers will be there, on TF1 or on MyTF1.fr."

Return of 

Dancing with the Stars

On the emissions side, the 2021-2022 season will also be an anniversary year. 

Koh Lanta is already

celebrating its 20th anniversary with its new "all stars" season.

The Voice will be

 celebrating its 10 candles.

As for the 

Star Academy

, it will return for a special show for its 20th anniversary.

will also celebrate its 10th anniversary.

TF1 is therefore counting on its major franchises this year, also with the return of

Dance with the Stars

The show returns after being put on hiatus for two years, due to Covid-19.
