La Bataille des couples

on TFX.

Shot in the Dominican Republic, this new edition features ten romantic pairs who will have to live together and then compete in the events orchestrated by Elsa Fayer.

The host tells

20 Minutes more

about this new role and teases what awaits viewers in the weeks to come.

How did you end up at the presentation of

La Bataille des Couples 3

 ?

Quite simply, I was asked.

It's a show that I loved.

I watched a little bit of the first season and a big chunk of the second.

I love reality TV games, there is merit, commitment, surpassing oneself.

It's a bit of a perfect match for me because there is at the same time psychology, surpassing oneself and effort, hardships, a lot of strategy.

It's a mixture that I have a bit in

10 Perfect Pairs

and that I enjoyed finding even if the scale of the events is still much more colossal.

Apart from your presence, are there any other changes compared to previous seasons this year?

The game is going to be quite complex. There are a lot more strategies. Every day they are faced with possible options in their game, they are really going to have to think about the best strategy and their allies because the game is constantly moving. What I love about this kind of adventure is that they don't master the rules so when they think they've mastered the game, new information comes along. They are not in a comfort zone, they have to think about all the possible options so they rack their brains, they move their bodies and wonder about their future as a couple. They all took up the challenge with a lot of ardor and pugnacity so I was facing me real athletes with a real athletic mind.

The ingredients of the show are competition, strategy, love and friendship. What mix of all that do we have this season?

This year, we have a lot of competition. Our candidates as a couple really came to win. They wanted to do battle, to be elected couple of the year. It turns out that sometimes the first are the last, the last are the first so they can't swear anything. They were unsettled by the bar, which was quite high, and they realized it quite quickly. We were a lot in the competition but healthy. Friendship is important in this game. Community life is not easy for everyone, even less when you are in a relationship because it is already a small unit. It's really the difference I felt with my previous shows. They arrive in force, two, proud of the couple they represent with the desire to show people that they are the best.Except that it is played over the length so you have to keep up the pressure and overcome all the difficulties one after the other.

There are a lot of friends in the villa this year, but some have friends who are sometimes enemies of each other. It's a bit complicated in terms of atmosphere, isn't it?

When you get into a game and you already know some people, you think it's great because you have allies. The only thing is that your allies sometimes have other allies that you get along less with. The strategy is still very present in this adventure where it is necessary, like

Koh-Lanta

, to have sacred allies to hope to go through the ceremonies without being eliminated. There is really a game of seduction in parallel with the competition but it also brings a lot to the strategy because a successful couple is a couple that you want to have on your team. At the beginning, there are secret negotiations that take place where, sometimes, certain couples have more interest in eliminating the stronger ones in order to continue the game as long as possible.

Three in ten couples have broken up since the filming. Doesn't the instantaneity of social networks spoil the fun of the season?

The speed of social networks is there, it's part of the news. The candidates share their life at the moment T so we have to deal with it. I find that it is not uninteresting, it does not take away anything from us because when they arrived in this adventure, they were really together with ambitions of couple, problems. Internet users who follow them on social networks may better understand why this couple broke up. In the case of Sarah and Ahmed, it's a divorce so there is even more involvement than a young couple in the making. Our viewers will follow with interest their story in this adventure, their relationship issues and this will be additional information that will perhaps allow them to better understand what happened to them. I think it's quite complementary.

Between

The Villa of broken hearts

,

10 Perfect Couples

and now

The Battle of the Couples

, can you still be surprised by what is happening on your shows?

It is an inexhaustible subject, I have the impression that it is a bottomless pit.

It is a subject on which we always have things to say.

Even if the problems related to love are more or less the same, the management of each is very different.

The more candidates I have, the more I feed and I think that by watching this show, you learn about love.

I am always surprised by the proposals made to me.

Since there are a lot of different personalities, there are a lot of proposals.

I am not yet good at exercising.

The day when I will no longer be surprised, I think I will stop but I believe that the cabinets of coaches in love are full because even if we listen to hundreds of testimonials on YouTube, it is inexhaustible so we never have finished talking about it.

Do you have other projects with the TF1 group?

Without revealing too much to you, I will be leaving for a fifth season of the

10 Perfect Couples

soon.

A fifth season is already on the way so I'm thrilled.

The place is likely to change and the filming will not be long overdue.

Other things are also in preparation.

I have a production company with which I write new concepts, I hope I can talk to you about it quickly.

Do “the Marseillais” still have something to do with “Loft Story”?
