Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, "Over the past six years, the Council has been able to achieve many achievements thanks to the qualitative projects and initiatives that it launched and implemented in cooperation and coordination with the state government, ministries and relevant federal authorities, and was keen to build fruitful partnerships with countries and organizations. International with distinguished expertise in gender balance policies; Which contributed to achieving qualitative leaps in the country’s classification with three global reports and indicators during the past few years,” noting that the UAE came first regionally in the World Bank report “Women, Business Activities and the Law 2021”, which monitors government efforts around the world to empower women economically through Laws, policies and procedures.It also achieved first place in the Arab world in the "Gender Gap Report 2021" issued by the World Economic Forum, and its performance rose to the 72nd rank globally in the general index of this important global report, advancing 48 places in one year after it was ranked 120 globally in the previous version. It achieved first place globally in four sub-indicators within this important international report, which are the parliamentary representation of women, the literacy rate, the gender ratio at birth, and the rate of girls' enrollment in primary education.
It also ranked first in the Arab world and 18 globally in the "Gender Equality Report 2020" issued by the United Nations Development Program last December, achieving a qualitative leap by an average of 31 global centers in this report within only five years of the establishment of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance, and exceeding the time period The goal of the council, when it was established, is to work on getting the UAE to the list of the 25 best countries in the world in the 2021 edition of this report.
