The reporter learned on the 29th that, affected by rainfall, there were 14 flood peaks in 12 rivers in the province.

116 town offices in Ankang City, Shaanxi experienced floods to varying degrees, causing 88,050 people to be affected.

  From 8 am on the 28th to 8 am on the 29th, part of Hanzhong, Ankang, and Shangluo of Shaanxi Province rained extensively, with local heavy rains.

Affected by rainfall, there were 14 flood peaks in 12 rivers and 12 stations in the province. Rivers such as Renhe, Dadaohe and Huangyanghe, a tributary of the Hanjiang River, experienced super-warning flooding.

  From 6 a.m. on the 28th to 6 a.m. on the 29th, precipitation occurred at 207 meteorological monitoring stations in Ankang City.

Affected by heavy rainfall, crops such as potatoes, corn and flue-cured tobacco were damaged, and infrastructure such as water supply, roads, and river banks were damaged.

  In the early morning of the 29th, most parts of Ankang Zhenping County were hit by heavy rains, causing part of the infrastructure to be damaged, part of the communication interrupted, farmland destroyed, road traffic interrupted in some towns, power and water cuts.

  It is understood that the town of Zhenping County was hit by the flooding of the Nanjiang River and the flooding of the mountain flood ditch on both sides, causing all the Xiaxin Street to be flooded with a water depth of about 1 meter.

The traffic from the county town to the provincial and county roads of the towns is interrupted, and traffic control is implemented on the Pingzhen Expressway.

  Zhenping County launched the fourth-level flood control emergency response at 4:30 on the 29th, and was upgraded to the first-level flood control emergency response at 5:40.

  The Shaanxi Fire Department said that a hotel in Zhenping County suddenly encountered a mudslide on the 29th. Rainwater mixed with mud and sand poured in from the backing of the hotel, and the room on the second floor had been flooded.

15 people were trapped in the hotel when the fire received the police, and 10 people had been safely transferred when they arrived.

  After the disaster, Ankang actively carried out disaster relief and recovery and reconstruction work.

At present, 100 centralized resettlement sites in the city have resettled 2,784 people affected by the disaster, and 13141 people have been resettled in scattered locations.

All emergency relief work is proceeding in an orderly manner, and the specific disaster situation is under further statistical verification.

  On the 29th, relevant departments in Shaanxi issued a yellow warning for rainstorms, an orange warning for geological disasters and meteorological risks, and a yellow warning for mountain torrent disasters.

  According to the Shaanxi Provincial Water Resources Department, since August, the precipitation in some parts of southern Shaanxi has been 1 to 2 times higher than that of the same period in normal years.

Recently, the province has entered a rainy period in autumn, and there may be continuous regional rainstorms, and the flood control situation is severe.

Water conservancy departments at all levels will implement flood control measures to minimize disaster losses.
