I graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Tishreen University in Damascus, this week, as an exceptional student, at the age of 79 years.

The student is the 79-year-old Palestinian refugee grandmother Naglaa Ahmed Burghul (Um Hisham).

The graduation project was discussed for the perennial student, who was born in 1942 and has eight children and fifteen grandchildren, including the doctor, the engineer, etc. at Tishreen University in the Syrian capital.

Dr. Thaer Ahmed Ibrahim, supervising the project, says: The first time I saw her, on the study bench as a first-year student, at that time I asked her, surprised, what are you doing in the hall? She said to me, "Sister, doctor, I am a student in your class." From that time until today, the student’s grandmother, Umm Hisham, continued to attend lectures, and she always sat in the first row, and today she discussed her graduation project, which I was proud to supervise, entitled (The Evolution of Information Technology and the Transition to the Digital Library).

Dr. Ibrahim concluded by saying, "How much I hope and wish from the various media outlets to highlight this unique situation in the world."
