This month, the Metropolitan Police Department transferred a suspect arrested in Okinawa Prefecture to Tokyo on the night of the 28th in a serious injury caused by a man being struck by sulfuric acid at a subway station in Minato-ku, Tokyo.

Since the victim's man was in the same circle at the university he attended before, he plans to clarify his motives in the future.

Hirotaka Hanamori (25), a university student living in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, was arrested on suspicion of injury.

After 9 pm on the 24th of this month, a 22-year-old office worker was suddenly sprinkled with sulfuric acid at Shirokane Takanawa Subway Station in Minato-ku, Tokyo, and his face was seriously injured for 6 months. A 34-year-old woman who was in Tokyo also fell and was slightly injured.

The Metropolitan Police Department identified Hanamori from security camera images and wanted him nationwide, but found out that he was at an acquaintance's house in Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture, and secured his position on the morning of the 28th. ..

The suspect had a slight burn on his arm, which was thought to be due to sulfuric acid, and after being treated at the hospital, he was transferred by plane and arrived at Haneda Airport around 8 pm.

At Haneda Airport, he silently answered the reporter's question, and then the car carrying the suspect entered the Takanawa police station, where the investigation headquarters is located.

In previous investigations, Hanamori is believed to have approached the victim's man to follow him and sprinkled a bottle of sulfuric acid overtaking him.

Also, the suspect had previously attended a university in Okinawa prefecture and belonged to the same circle as the victim.

The Metropolitan Police Department will investigate the source of sulfuric acid and the details of the incident, and will continue to clarify the motives.

According to the investigators, he said to the investigation, "I don't want to talk now."
