On the morning of August 27, the Intermediate People's Court of Sanming City, Fujian Province issued a verdict of the first instance on the murder of the national cultural relics security guard Liao Guohua.

The defendant Chen Aiguo was guilty of robbery and sentenced to death, deprived of political rights for life and confiscated all personal property.

  In the early morning of July 6, 1995, Chen Aiguo entered the Jiangle County Museum in Sanming City to steal.

On the same day, Liao Guohua, deputy curator of the Jiangle County Museum, was on night shift in the museum. He fought with Chen Aiguo in order to protect the cultural relics. He was stabbed 31 times by Chen Aiguo and sacrificed heroically.

After the incident, after an inventory, the cultural relics and specimens in the Le County Museum were safe and sound, and none of them were damaged.

Comrade Liao Guohua used his blood and life to keep the national cultural relics safe, and he has been ratified by the titles of "National Cultural Relics Security Guard" and "Revolutionary Martyr".

  On June 4, 2020, after the unremitting efforts of the Sanming Jiangle police, Chen Aiguo, a criminal suspect in the Jiangle "July 6" murder case, was arrested after 25 years of absconding.
