Kuwaiti "Asham" imprisoned 30 girls for marriage and defrauded them with a million dollars

The competent authorities in Kuwait referred a young Kuwaiti man who impersonated a “VIP Sheikh” to prison after accusing him of defrauding about 30 girls and deceiving them into marriage and obtaining from them 300,000 Kuwaiti dinars (equivalent to 996,000 US dollars).

And the fake sheikh was arrested months ago after girls came to the investigations and accused the young man of deceiving them and deluding them that he was a VIP and deluded them into marriage and collecting a huge sum of money from them to enter into a partnership with him, then he would disappear from view.

A Kuwaiti security source revealed that the accused was imprisoned for 10 days pending investigation, trying to deny the accusations, but the investigation authorities confronted him with the reports submitted against him, as well as his pretending to be rich through rented cars and villas belonging to friends and deceiving his victims that he is rich.

One of the victims of the fake sheikh stated that the defendant stole 52,000 Kuwaiti dinars, equivalent to 72,000 US dollars, after he met her on social media and communicated with her on the "Instagram" and "Snapchat" programs.

The victim said that the accused was able to deceive her after he promised her to marry, noting that he was deliberately showing her that he lives a luxurious life through the luxury cars that he brings to meet her and take her to a luxury villa that he claims to own.

And she continued, "He told me that he owns a real estate company and offered me to invest in it by buying an apartment, and thus he was able to get all my savings in the bank, which amounted to 52 thousand dinars."

The victim noted that she revealed the deception of the "future husband" after the accused banned her from the list of contacts with him on all social media platforms.
