China News Service, Lhasa, August 27 (Shikaiqun Xiemu) Since mid-August, heavy rainfall has continued to occur in eastern Tibet, and disasters such as landslides, landslides, and mudslides have occurred in many sections of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway in Nyingchi and Qamdo. The officers and soldiers of a certain detachment of the Second Mobile Corps of the Armed Police Force, who was tasked to maintain and protect the national road, moved upon hearing the disaster. As soon as the disaster occurred, the emergency plan was immediately activated, and the officers and soldiers were dispatched to repair and build large-scale rescue equipment such as excavators, loaders, and breakers. The road has been fighting for several days in the first line of rescue insurance.

In the early morning of the 24th, rainfall in Bomi County, Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region increased, and large-scale mudslides occurred in the mountains near Jiaoba Village, Songzong Township on the Sichuan-Tibet Line, which caused the river to be diverted and washed the Sichuan-Tibet Line, causing the 110-meter roadbed of National Highway 318 to collapse. As a result, the road was disconnected and the passing vehicles were stranded. The local traffic control department imposed traffic control on the road.

"The disconnection of roads has seriously affected the production and life of the people along the route. No matter how great the difficulties, we must find ways to overcome them and restore the roads as soon as possible." Operator Zhao Yuan said that this year is his 16th service in the plateau. In the past few years, he has participated in more than 100 rescue missions on the Sichuan-Tibet line.

A few days ago, the 80-meter roadbed of the Nujianggou section was destroyed and collapsed. Zhao Yuan was ordered to rush to repair and build the road with the troops. It only took 2 days to excavate a sidewalk. He just breathed a sigh of relief. Ordered to act again.

The rain continued and the flying rocks continued.

In Jiaoba Village, the front line was rushed through. Due to the complex structure of the mountain and the bare and hard bedrock, the officers and soldiers rushed through the cliffs as high as 40 meters. The working space was limited. Quite difficult.

In order to restore traffic as soon as possible, rescue officers and soldiers adopted the tactics of "two-way digging and multi-point operations" to excavate the access road. In less than 3 days, the access road was more than 100 meters long.

After several consecutive days of emergency repairs and construction of roads by armed police officers and soldiers, as of the early morning of the 27th, except for the section of Jiaoba Village, which was still being rushed through, the rest of the road sections were all restored to traffic, and all the trapped people and vehicles had safely left the disaster site.
