On August 26, the Hunan Provincial Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference to introduce the situation of the province’s epidemic prevention and control work.
Hunan Province reported 1 case of asymptomatic infection from July 28, to 24:00 on August 25, a total of 110 confirmed local cases and 19 cases of asymptomatic infection were reported in 7 cities, prefectures and 12 counties.
Under the strong leadership of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and the joint efforts of the whole province, the epidemic has been effectively controlled.
On August 25, the medium and high-risk areas in Hunan Province were all adjusted to low-risk areas.
In this round of the epidemic, Hunan Province has accumulated 27.84 million nucleic acid tests.
As of August 25, Hunan Province had received 83.2 million doses of new coronavirus vaccine.
The first dose of vaccination rate for people over 18 years old in the province reached 84.8%, and the vaccination work for people aged 12-17 years reached the target ahead of schedule.
