Current Commentary: To treat "mobile phone disease", adults should also "prevent addiction"

Guangming Daily’s official Weibo recently launched an online survey on "Mobile phone usage and hidden health hazards", which attracted more than 400,000 netizens to read and pay attention.

The survey showed that 74% of the participants said that their mobile phones would not leave their hands; 80% of the participants said that their mobile phones have brought health problems to them.

Some netizens said in the message area that they had been "kidnapped" by their mobile phones... (Guangming Daily, August 22)

Sending WeChat, watching videos, checking information, playing games, shopping online... Although everyone uses mobile phones for different purposes, one thing they have in common is that they rely more and more on mobile phones.

While mobile phones bring many conveniences to life, work, and study, excessive use of mobile phones also causes many adverse effects on people's health.

The investigation and interview of the media helped us to recognize the "mobile phone disease" and improve our awareness of prevention.

The survey shows that "over 70% of netizens do not leave their hands", this ratio is surprising; 80% of netizens realize that mobile phones bring health problems to them, indicating that they are more sober.

But being aware of "mobile phone sickness" does not mean actively "treating the disease", because they have formed a habit of using mobile phones and become dependent, and it may be difficult for them to reduce their mobile phone use.

Looking at it now, there are at least four major manifestations of "mobile phone disease": First, it is more harmful to the eyes.

Such as dry eyes, tired eyes, increased myopia and so on.

The second is to break the "balance" of the body.

It will cause sleep, endocrine, obesity and other problems.

Third, it affects the spirit and mood.

May cause mental illness.

Fourth, it causes "deformation" of the body.

This is mainly because the posture of using the mobile phone is incorrect.

In this regard, relevant experts have prescribed "prescriptions" for each of the above-mentioned "mobile phone diseases", which are worth collecting and learning by mobile phone users to correct their own bad habits of excessive use of mobile phones and incorrect use of mobile phones.

Although mobile phones have many functions and are also very important to users, health is more important than everything. If you suffer from multiple "mobile phone diseases" because you are addicted to mobile phones, your physical and mental health will suffer severe damage, which is not worth it.

Moreover, adult addiction to mobile phones is a bad example for minors.

Nowadays, many children rely on mobile phones to cause vision loss. One of the reasons is that parents and people around them keep their mobile phones in their hands every day, and the children will inevitably be influenced.

Therefore, parents must not only consider their own health, but also consider the health of their children. It is better to accompany your children with a mobile phone to "accompany" them. It is more important to demonstrate personally than to prevent children from indulging in mobile phones.

In view of the relatively high proportion of netizens who are addicted to mobile phones, and they cause a variety of "mobile phone diseases", I believe that in addition to reminding netizens to reduce and use mobile phones correctly, we should also consider designing an "anti-addiction" system for adult mobile phone users.

At present, mobile games are basically designed with "anti-addiction" systems, but the objects of anti-addiction are minors, and there is no defense against adults who are addicted to mobile phones.

Although adults are more sensible than minors, if adults are addicted to something and bring a variety of health hazards, it is also necessary to "save the adults."

Because when adults are addicted to mobile phones, to some extent they have become addicted.

In consideration of protecting the physical and mental health of mobile phone users, it is worth thinking about whether all mobile phone manufacturers can tailor an "anti-addiction" system for adults.

This adult "anti-addiction" system does not need to be as complicated as the game version of the "anti-addiction" system for minors. As long as the mobile phone is used for a reasonable time, the user will be automatically reminded to pay attention to health after this time. I believe that repeated reminders over the years will Raise the health awareness of many people.

We should also design public service advertisements during the mobile phone startup to remind everyone that indulging in mobile phones will bring health hazards.

In addition, it may as well regard "anti-addiction" as the standard for mobile phones. Whether mobile phone users are adults, children or the elderly, they should be provided with "anti-addiction" protection.

To do so is to fulfill social responsibility for mobile phone manufacturers, and it is also a manifestation of being responsible for the health of users.

From a national perspective, the formulation of such national standards is conducive to achieving the goals of the "Healthy China 2030" Plan.
