As the infection situation worsens in each region, it seems that discussions have been held on future measures, such as whether it is necessary to further expand the target areas for priority measures such as declaration of emergency and prevention of spread.

From the 20th of this month, the government has expanded the areas covered by the state of emergency to 13 prefectures and the areas covered by priority measures such as spread prevention to 16 prefectures, and is strengthening measures against the new coronavirus.

Under these circumstances, Prime Minister Suga met with related ministers such as Minister for Economic Revitalization Nishimura and Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Tamura for about 40 minutes at the Prime Minister's Office on the evening of the 23rd.



At the meeting, it seems that future measures were discussed, such as whether it is necessary to further expand the target areas of the declaration and priority measures as the infection situation worsens in each region.
