Michitsuna Takahashi is from Osaka prefecture, and in 1974, she wrote "Boring" while working as a reporter for a sports newspaper, and won the literary magazine's newcomer award.



After that, he retired from the newspaper company and published the novel "September Sky", which depicts the growth of high school boys who devote themselves to kendo, and won the Akutagawa Prize in 1978.



He published a wide range of works such as period novels and essays, and since he was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, he has also released works that spell out the days of facing illness, such as "The writer tried to get cancer". ..
