And the third was “Treue Seelen”, a novel about West Berlin in the eighties.

This is where Achim, an employee of the Federal Institute for Materials Testing, who once dreamed of something else, begins a relationship with his neighbor Marion, who is ten years older than him.

In order to help her sister who was left behind in the GDR, he puts himself in danger.

Till Raether himself grew up in West Berlin during this time and talks about the divided city and this strange republic in Aspik.
