On the 21st, a woman in her 80s was found unconscious in a house in Saitama prefecture, and was later confirmed dead on suspicion of heat stroke.



Saitama Prefecture is calling attention to the proper use of air conditioning because women slept in the room without using air conditioning.

Around 3:00 pm on the 21st, a family member reported to the fire department that an 88-year-old woman had collapsed in a house in Kawajima Town, Saitama Prefecture.



The woman was taken to the hospital unconscious and unbreathing, but was confirmed dead on suspicion of heat stroke.



According to the fire department, when the paramedics rushed in, the woman was lying in bed and the room had air conditioning but was not in use.



According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the maximum temperature on the 21st was 31.8 degrees Celsius at the observation point in Hatoyama Town near Kawajima Town.
