Summer has passed at lightning speed.

And the weather has not always been lenient with the inhabitants of France.

Four departments were placed on orange vigilance on Saturday due to a "strongly stormy situation" in the evening, according to a Météo-France bulletin published in the early afternoon.

In Côte-d'Or, Haute-Marne, Haute-Saône and in the Vosges, "the severely stormy summer situation (...) requires particular vigilance insofar as there is a strong risk of a violent phenomenon", indicates the forecasting organization.

The stormy degradation is expected from 7:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Thunderstorms are expected over western Burgundy in the late afternoon.

They will then shift towards the North-East to concern Burgundy Franche-Comté as well as the Grand-Est.

Short-lived, the stormy episode promises to be rather significant: risk of strong electrical activity, hail and heavy rain, with locally 30 to 40 mm in an hour or less, as well as gusts of wind of 90 to 100 km / h, or even more locally.
