Those who are positive are all foreign cargo aircraft operators at Pudong Airport and have been vaccinated against the new crown.
From 0-24 o'clock on August 20, Shanghai reported 2 confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia (case 1, case 2). These 2 cases are currently being treated in isolation at the Municipal Public Health Clinical Center and their condition is stable.
The close contacts of the two confirmed cases yesterday who have been quarantined and observed have been checked overnight. Today, three cases of new coronary pneumonia virus were found to be positive for nucleic acid.
After consultation with the Shanghai expert group, combined with epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, imaging findings and laboratory nucleic acid test results, all 3 cases were diagnosed as confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (light type) and have been transferred to the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center Isolation treatment.
In other words, a total of 5 confirmed cases involving Pudong Airport reported yesterday and today have all been treated in isolation at the Municipal Public Health Clinical Center.

Case 3, an overseas cargo plane operator at Pudong Airport, male, 45 years old, lives at Jinjiang Inn (Donghai Town Store), 798 Yanchao Road, Pudong New Area, and is a colleague of Case 2 confirmed on August 20.

Case 4, an operator of an overseas cargo plane at Pudong Airport, male, 45 years old, and his home address is Qianhuiyuanyi Village, Lane 280, Qianhui Road, Zhuqiao Town, Pudong New Area; he lives in Jinjiang Inn (Donghai), No. 798 Yanchao Road, Pudong New Area Zhendian) is the colleague of the confirmed case 2 on August 20.
The case has been vaccinated against the new crown vaccine.
Case 5, an overseas cargo plane operator at Pudong Airport, male, 45 years old, living at Zhuheyuanbei District, Lane 1000, Qianhui Road, Zhuqiao Town, Pudong New District, is a close contact of confirmed case 4.
The case has been vaccinated against the new crown vaccine.
Relevant departments in Shanghai and the district took immediate action to conduct comprehensive epidemiological investigations, personnel investigations, sampling tests, and isolation control of the above-mentioned cases' residences and related places and personnel.
As of 10 o'clock today, the Pudong local epidemic has investigated a total of 120 close contacts in Shanghai. All of them have been quarantined. Three of them have tested positive for nucleic acid, namely cases 3, 4, and 5 mentioned above. The nucleic acid test results of 117 people were negative.
A total of 729 people who have been closely connected in Shanghai have been investigated, all of which have been quarantined, and the nucleic acid test results are all negative.
