The police are investigating the situation in detail, assuming that they were drowning while playing in the river.

According to the police, after 2:00 pm on the 21st, a person who passed by said that "a boy was washed away by the river and rescued" at the Naka River in Kuroiso, Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture.



After that, Mizuo Fujiwara (9), a third grader in the city, was rescued with cardiopulmonary arrest, but he was confirmed dead at the hospital where he was transferred.



Also, about three hours later, after 5 pm, Mizuo's father, Yutaka (54), a group employee, was found in a nearby river with cardiopulmonary arrest and was taken to the hospital, but died. It was confirmed.



The site is near the riverbed where you can play and fish about 2 km northwest of JR Kuroiso Station, and according to police, the family said, "Today we went out together."
