In the original series, Soleil Moon Frye played the role of an orphan abandoned by her mother in a supermarket at the age of 7.

Having only her dog Bandit as a companion, she ended up finding refuge in a building before being taken in and then adopted by a photographer named Henry Warnimont who was played by George Gaynes.
