[Explanation] Following the successful completion of the Chinese space station astronaut’s first exit activity on July 4, on August 20, the Chinese astronauts exited the cabin again to perform tasks such as installing a thermal expansion pump set and raising the panoramic camera d outside the cabin.

　　[Explanation] The astronauts Nie Haisheng and Liu Boming were engaged in extravehicular operations, and Tang Hongbo cooperated in the cabin to support the extravehicular operations.

　　[Explanation] At 8:38, astronaut Nie Haisheng successfully opened the exit door of the Tianhe core module node module. As of 10:12, astronauts Nie Haisheng and Liu Boming had successfully exited the Tianhe core module node module and completed the Install foot stoppers and workbenches outside the cabin on the robotic arm.

　　[Explanation] According to the task arrangement, a thermal control extension pump set will be installed for the second exit.

According to reports, the expansion pump unit weighs about 35 kilograms. It is one of the power sources for the operation of the fluid circuit of the space station’s thermal control system. The fluid circuit is evenly wrapped in important parts of the space station and is realized by the reciprocating circulation of special liquids in the pipeline The heat dissipation and heat supplement function keep the temperature of the space station uniform and stable.

According to reports, three circulating pumps with the same functions have been installed in the core cabin. The heat pump installed outside the cabin this time is a backup of the circulating pump in the cabin. When the circulating pump in the cabin fails, the circulating pump outside the cabin can be used. Take over the work of the failed circulating pump in time to ensure that the space station continues to operate.

　　[Explanation] At 14:33, after about 6 hours of exiting activities, the Shenzhou 12 astronaut crew worked closely together and successfully completed all the scheduled tasks during the exiting activities. Astronauts Nie Haisheng and Liu Boming returned to Tianhe core safely. The capsule was about an hour ahead of the original plan, and the second astronaut out of the space station stage was a complete success.
