If we already knew that Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki would play Prince Charles and Lady Diana in season 5 of

The Crown

, we had never seen them in their respective roles.

It is now done, since Netflix has just unveiled the first images of the two performers in their characters.

The two actors take over from Josh O'Connor and Emma Corrin who played the princely couple in their early days and the first difficulties encountered during their marriage.

The saga

At the end of July, the streaming service released the first image of Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II. The British actress succeeds Olivia Colman. This new season will focus on the end of the marriage of William and Harry's parents and the scandals that have enamelled the crown. 1992 was nicknamed “the annus horribilis” for the queen, who had to bow to the principles of the monarchy and accept the divorce of three of her four children. Princess Anne divorced Mark Phillips without a scandal, but Princes Charles and Andrew did not. The press and the public had reveled in revelations about the infidelities of the heir to the throne and the Princess of Wales.Sarah Ferguson's afternoon sunbathing - topless and having her feet licked by a friend while still married to Prince Andrew - had also rocked the crown.
