It's a thriller that takes us to the south of France.
BAC Nord
, by Cédric Jimenez, is inspired by a case that led 18 members of the Marseille anti-crime brigade to corrections, suspected of having racked up dealers and street vendors and of stealing drugs, money, jewelry and cigarettes.
In theaters this Wednesday, August 18.

This is the story of three cops, three field police who are chomping at the bit for lack of means to intervene in the northern districts of Marseille.
So, when their hierarchy asks them for a "number", they arrange with the law to recover a large shipment of narcotics.
A huge booty intended, according to them, to force the confidences of the informers, but which will earn them a taste of the prison.
It was the months preceding their arrest that the director Cédric Jimenez decided to film, in this muscular thriller that does not skimp on the action scenes. Pursuits with shootings, hooded villains, kalach 'in the fist ... On the adrenaline side,
BAC Nord
fulfills its contract perfectly, the film also making good use of the quality of its three performers: Gilles Lellouche, François Civil and Karim Leklou.
On the other hand, it rolls out a rather cartoonish carpet on the northern suburbs of Marseille.
As for his rehabilitation of three police officers leaving without qualms of the nails of legality, it completely lacks nuance.
In January 2020, at the start of filming, the police officers of the BAC Nord de Marseille were paralyzed at the idea of being presented as scoundrels.
Cédric Jimenez proves to them that they have nothing to worry about.
